# What information is required for a sea or airfreight quote

## Pickup and delivery location. Weight and measurements of items in addition to the below.

-  Do you require Air freight? (Transit time approx. 7 days once collected)

-  Do you require Sea freight? (Transit time can be a month to 45 days once collected)

-  Do you require door to door, this is clearance and delivery? Or Port to port/airport. Customer arranges their own clearance and delivery. 

-  Is there a forklift available at both the collection and delivery sites?

-  Are the pallets/skids stackable?

-  What are the intercoms? Are the goods FOB or Ex Works, DAP?

**Ex Works** means that the Supplier pays for nothing, and the Consignee pays from Door to Door. Some Suppliers do not have Export Licences, so they request Ex Works.   
**FOB or Free on Board** means that the Supplier covers the Local Charges, and the Consignee covers Freight Only plus Import Charges to Door.

**DAP** The buyer is responsible for import clearance and any applicable local taxes or import duties.

-  Sometimes we may need to clarify if the goods are new or used, Example with clothing, car parts, household goods etc
